It seems like "buzz" about the Hairless Chinese Crested is all over the Internet, these days. Well, we've had our first visit from this breed and we think all that "ugly" talk is way over done! Drew and Herrye were perfect shoppers and very cute as they took their humans around the store. Drew (he's on the left) is 5 years old. And, Herrye (also 5)... well, it looks like she wants to head down the other isle of the store. All are starting a new chapter in their lives, as they have just moved to Cambria. Welcome! We hope you come in often! |

Finn has a different story to tell. He found his loving humans because he was the last pup of the litter being given away one afternoon in front of Target in Fresno. So, you can say this half-Chihuahua, half-Terrier mix was half-rescued, half-adopted. It was a win-win for everyone! |

Here's one of the sweetest, young self-described "mutts" you'll ever meet! Rescued in the L.A. area, Lou brought his humans up to take a look at Rich Man Poor Man. It makes us so happy to see so many of our friends rescuing these wonderful pets. Thank you to all of you who have made that commitment! |

Rescued from a golf course in Bakersfield, we met a very happy Swedish Vol-hound mix. You can tell he's happy, because we couldn't get a photo of him without his tail being a "blur". Thanks for visiting, Shorty! |

Up from Ventura with his new humans, John & Diane, we met Tucker, a 5 month old Yellow Lab. If this young shopper looks a little "tentative" in his expression, it might be because this was his first big trip and vacation! So there was a lot to learn about traveling! Have fun, Tucker, and come back to see us often, so we can watch you grow up! |

Coming in from Pleasant Hills, CA, Laura stopped by with her two Shiba Inu friends. As Laura explained: Taz (on the left) is a rescue dog who is 13 years old and a great pal of Fuji. On the right in this photo, Fuji is rather special having been awarded Best of Breed at the Petaluma Dog Show, is also a Champion, and, like Taz, is 13 years old. By the way, Fuji was actually born in Japan! So, it was quite special for us at Rich Man Poor Man to meet these two amazing dogs and their human! Thanks so much for visiting! |

As all good shoppers know, you need to come by Rich Man Poor Man often to keep up with the "picks & finds" that our dealers are always bringing in. And that's exactly what Rocky was doing over the Labor Day Holiday weekend. He's a 9 year-old silver Toy Poodle who lives with his human right here in Cambria. Thanks for checking in, Rocky! |

Benny was in Cambria coming down from Washington State with his human, Clark. Benny, a Shiatzu, was here looking for property on the Central Coast. Hope you find exactly what you're looking for, Benny, and come see us often! |

Christy has a secret. She may look like she's relaxing and "being a dog". However, she's actually an on-duty, working in-home Service Dog for her humans in Arizona. One of her jobs on this day was to get Mom & Dad out of their home in Arizona, where it was 100+ degrees, and over to our wonderful Cambria Central Coast to cool off. Good job, Christy! |

A rescue from San Francisco, Mona has a "snaggle tooth". Really. However, she was a little sensitive about it when the camera came out. So you'll have to take our word for it. A Chihuahua/Terrier mix, she brought in her humans, Liz and Allie, for a look-around at Rich Man Poor Man. Have fun, Mona! |

Bo is a very happy camper! He was resqued in Stockton and now lives with his two new humans in the Palm Desert area. All three were on their first vacation together when they came by Rich Man Poor Man. Can you tell who was having the greatest time? Congratulations, Bo, and come back to see us again! |

It was our first cat to visit! And WHAT A CAT!! Sunshine slowly got out of his converted tram. Think: a 30-pound Garfield from Venice Beach. Thanks for stopping by, Sunshine! |

Every self-respecting antique store has to have a "shop dog". Right?! At Rich Man Poor Man, whenever Bill, one of our Dealers, comes in... you'll usually see Benny, a young Terrier/Chihuahua, coming along as he learns the joy of "antique-ing". Come say "Hi" to Benny. |

It must have been "Yorkie Day" at Rich Man Poor Man, because coming up from Mission Viejo, 6-year-old Monkey brought Favorite Human Kathy up to shop. Monkey loves to travel and loves sand and the beach, so Cambria was the perfect place to come! |
Then, from the Land of Four Seasons, Tehachapi, CA, came another Yorkie, Abby Rose. Favorite human, Janis, was showing young Abby Rose, 5 months old, the "ropes" on how to be a good antique collector. Thanks for stopping by Rich Man Poor Man! |

Early in the month we enjoyed meeting Mr. Beezer, who is half Chihuahua and half German Sheppard... that's what he told us. On the other hand, Mrs. Peanut is half Chihuahua and half Pug. So, there you go. These great rescue dogs were visiting the Central Coast from Burbank. |
From Porterville in the San Joaquin Valley of California came Mr. Rigel, a Terrier Mix. Asked if he was a "rescue dog", we were told that "...yes...he was 'rescued' from the pet store window..." Obviously, Mr. Rigel gets a lot of love! |
Maggie Sue is a Yorkie Poo. She's also an excellent shopper who actually smiles, her human told us. On this day, it was a lot cooler in Cambria than it was at her home in Visalia... which is probably why she was smiling a lot! |

Looking just as content as he could be, we met Max, a Shiatsu. Being cuddled by his favorite human, Mia, Max was visiting us from Tustin in Orange County, CA. Good to see you, Max! |

William came in from Ojai and was described by his human as a "Trick Master". And that proved to be correct when William performed several tricks for us in the store! He is a Sheltic and actually has a Facebook page: William Grace. Check it out! Thanks for coming in, William. |
